Eclipse’s award-winning experience of providing innovative perimeter security solutions helped secure a major project win at a Critical National Infrastructure site which includes the installation of a C-UAV system.
Detecting, tracking and defeating drone threats is a complex problem and working with L3Harris, Eclipse has installed a C-UAV system into a secure facility in the UK to provide dependable detection and tracking of malicious activity by unmanned aerial systems.
Dr Mark Almond, tech director at Eclipse, said: “The system we installed combines a combination of different sensors to provide reliable detection and tracking, all integrated into the site’s existing control room.”
Eclipse managing director Alan Drinkwater added that the project provides an excellent opportunity for the company to showcase its problem-solving abilities and ground-breaking application of state-of-the-art technology.
The project also demonstrates Eclipse’s technical competence in an isolated environment which is exposed to the elements.
Daren Wood, head of sales and marketing at Eclipse, added: “The project is completely different to anything anybody has done before in the UK and we’re effectively writing the template for similar projects to follow.”
